I use Google Analytics to monitor how many visitors my site receives for security purposes.
As this is a personal online CV, I am simply using Google Analytics to keep me updated with how many visits my site is getting and from where. This helps me to understand what resources are being used and to take any pre-emptive measures to securing my site.
I will never setup any marketing or remarketing campaigns through this tool nor attempt to sell or trade any data that GA4 collects. Finally, I have only configured GA4 to track the number of visits to my site, session duration, clicks, page scrolls and general locations (country specific).
